Zambia is one of Africa’s most unexplored and exciting safari destinations and a place of never-ending skies under which vast quantities of wildlife thrive in the numerous national parks. Zambia is known as the birthplace of walking safaris, a country of incredible guiding and phenomenal animal encounters either on foot, in a 4×4 or on a boat.
When to go
Zambia’s dry season typically runs from June to October, and these months tend to be the best for game viewing as animals are easier to find congregating near water. However, Luiwa Plains is best visited in November when the migratory grazers begin to arrive, although the months of October and November can be uncomfortably hot across Zambia.
Birding is best across the country during the wet season from November to April.
